This is an opportunity to join a top tier crypto startup at the forefront of blockchain technology and DeFi. We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer based in Asian Pacific time zones to work alongside our Senior DevOps Engineer. We are a lean team, so this role is for someone who enjoys being hands-on and having full ownership and autonomy over their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Kubernetes & Cloud Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable applications on AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service). This includes heavy use of Helm for package management and adhering to cloud-native architectural best practices.
- LINUX: Proficient in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- GitOps Implementation: Drive the adoption and maintenance of our GitOps pipeline using the ArgoCD suite, including Argo Workflows, to ensure infrastructure and application configuration is managed declaratively and automatically.
- CI/CD: Strong understanding of cicd pipelines. Github Actions and other tools.
- SRE & Monitoring: Manage and evolve our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and monitoring stack (LGTM: Loki, Grafana, Tempo, and Mimir) to ensure proactive alerting, robust observability, and rapid incident response.
- Decentralized Infrastructure: Deploy, manage, and debug EVM and ETH RPC nodes, optimizing for performance, reliability, and security. Deep understanding of node operation and debugging is required.
- Documentation: Champion a Documentation-Driven Development (DDD) approach, ensuring all systems, processes, and architectures are thoroughly documented and kept up-to-date.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in a follow-the-sun shared on-call rotation with the global team, ensuring the continuous availability of our services.
- Demonstrated experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation strategies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Cloud Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience managing infrastructure on AWS, particularly EKS, VPC, EC2, S3, and IAM.
- Container Orchestration: Strong expertise in Kubernetes administration, including advanced configuration, networking, and security. Container runtimes crucial.
- Observability: Extensive experience with the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir) or similar modern monitoring and logging tools.
- Automation: Practical experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD and Argo Workflows.
- Blockchain Infrastructure: Direct experience running, debugging, and maintaining Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and Ethereum (ETH) RPC nodes (e.g., Geth, Erigon, etc.).
- Coding & Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, or Bash).
- Documentation: A commitment to high-quality, clear, and comprehensive documentation following a DDD philosophy.
- Event Driving Architecture: building, debug and improve on various messaging and event bus architectures (Kafka, Nats, etc)
- Strong skills in designing, implementing, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and other CDKs
Hard Requirement
- Time zone: Must be based around the GMT+8 time zone (e.g., Singapore, Hong Kong, Perth, Shanghai) to align with core team operations.
