Catalog is bringing value back to music by creating a suite of tools that give artists more autonomy, freedom, and earnings while removing intermediaries to create an equitable decentralized music network. Catalog records are a new ownership format for music that helps artists and fans unlock new revenue streams, distribution options, and experiences.

The role

We’re hiring a full stack engineer who will be a key player in the core team and help bring Catalog to mass scale. You’ll work closely with our technical cofounder to build scalable, robust infrastructure to create, experience and exchange audio NFTs. We’re constantly evolving, and this role will require being flexible, open-minded and output driven with a strong sense of ownership. You should be a visionary with a relentless focus on execution.

We’re looking for someone who can work efficiently across the stack, but are open to people interested in a specialized position.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build complex infrastructure
• Work closely with the team on product scoping and requirements
• Own and ship new features
• Teach and mentor others. We work best when we’re all learning and growing with humility.
• Maintain best practices re: security & efficiency throughout the stack
• Bonus: contribute to the open source DeFi // NFT community

Qualifications

• Comprehensive full stack software development experience building performant web apps
• Knowledgable and passionate about crypto applications / Ethereum
• Experience with our tech stack (Next.js + TypeScript, Ethers.js, Hasura (Postgres + GQL), Node.js & Express)
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with overlapping projects
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Open-minded and humble
• Fluency in English
• Music aficionado
