What you will do

As Sr. Director of Engineering, Platform Services, you will lead a geographically diverse engineering team to deliver innovative blockchain platform services. You demonstrate a strong track record of successful leadership and passion for building high-performing teams to design and deliver complex solutions. You will collaborate closely with other engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to build industry-leading products. Additional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Delivering innovative blockchain solutions to the marketplace.

• Designing solutions that support the company strategy and product roadmap.
• Partnering with key stakeholders to develop products that meet design requirements and lead in our market category.
• Managing program focus, scope, and changes to minimize adverse impacts and maximize desired results.

Leading a global team of engineers.

• Communicating and connecting effectively with engineers, as well as business stakeholders.
• Promoting a positive culture and leading your teams through collaboration and mentorship.
• Recruiting talented and capable engineers to build our growing team.

Promoting the continuous improvement of development methods and processes.

• Fostering agile development methods for rapid prototyping, development, and delivery.
• Championing a collaborative design review process to ensure stakeholder agreement and validated outcomes.
• Implementing secure development practices to safeguard service integrity and trust.
• Developing measures and procedures to ensure that quality standards are consistently met.

Technical leadership.

• Providing the engineering team technical leadership to drive expected outcomes.
• Staying up-to-date on emerging technologies, methods, and blockchain trends.
• Recommending technological improvements in methodology and efficiency.

Managing resources and a budget.

• Working cross-functionally to facilitate the most effective use of our engineering resources.
• Collaborating with the PMO and Product teams on resource modeling for optimal product delivery.
• Proactively setting, monitoring, and reporting on objectives with measurable results.

What you will need to succeed

To succeed, you have prior experience managing multiple development teams across international locations, along with proven leadership experience in developing software solutions. An insatiable drive and the ability to deliver results. A knack for providing insightful engineering recommendations to business leaders and executives. A strong understanding of k8s, microservices, identity technologies, SaaS development, mobile development, and knowledge of the entire productization process. Your ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders is a must.

Your education and experience

Ten years or more experience in software design and development with a related degree. At least seven years of experience leading multiple engineering teams to deliver market-leading commercial products. At least five years of demonstrated experience developing use-case requirements and translating them into product specifications. Demonstrable success delivering new, innovative products to market viability. Financial, blockchain, and cryptocurrency technology experience preferred.
