Blockchain Engineer

The mission of Backd is to improve collateral efficiency in DeFi.

Backd is a trustless and interest generating protocol that deploys novel multi-utility liquidity pools. Liquidity that is deposited into Backd reacts to market conditions and is sent to where it is the most efficient. The Backd protocol’s facilitation of reactive liquidity establishes a new era of yield-farming in decentralized finance. One in which, through Backd, users can farm yield without the opportunity cost of locking assets in a single-utility vault, and while simultaneously executing other DeFi functions (such as collateral top ups).

We are still a small (~6 people), fully remote team and are looking for a passionate blockchain engineer to join us.

You will be leading the development of the Backd keeper, a critical piece of infrastructure of our ecosystem.

Backd is currently live on the Kovan testnet.

Role

• Develop the Backd keeper (currently implemented in Go)
• Work on packaging and tooling around the Backd keeper
• Deploy and maintain the infrastructure for the keeper maintained by the Backd team

Skills

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience
• Over 2 years of working experience with Go, Rust, C++ or other system language
• Good understanding of Ethereum and web3

Nice to have

• Working experience on web3 projects
• Working devops experience
• Computer science degree
