Frontend Engineer

We’re currently building out an incredible engineering team at ARCx, and we’re looking for our next few key people to help us build on-chain reputation. ⚡️

About Us 👻

Our mission is to build the first on-chain reputation protocol, allowing users to unlock benefits through their on-chain behaviour in DeFi. We achieve this through processing large amounts of data that gets scored through algorithms and uploaded to a user’s DeFi Passport. We have two products that we are building out with one product team for each product.

• DeFi Passport 💳: This is the product that allows users to access benefits on-chain through analysing their behaviour. We also allow 3rd party developers to use our infrastructure to create their own scores. This is a consumer facing team and about crafting a delightful product.
• ARCUSD 🏦: This is our credit scoring technology coupled with our loan issuance platform that allows users to borrow more through their borrowing behaviour. We focus on this since we believe that credit is the killer application of reputation. This team is primarily an infrastructure team and about robust engineering

You’ll undoubtedly be wearing many hats while working alongside incredibly talented and driven individuals, fully remotely 🌏. We’ve raised over $8m till date from some of the industry’s top investors and are a team of 6 full time members and another 6 contractors/contributors/part-timers.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who is motivated to turn beautiful designs into dynamic React.js components. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application to ensure we have delightful products to use.

You will work alongside our UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. You’ll have full autonomy of what you craft.

This role does not require past crypto experience, only passion for the industry is needed. We’re excited to mentor the right candidate 😇

What you will be doing

• Produce a high quality user interface with pixel perfect CSS.
• Convert Figma designs into React components.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Work together with the frontend team to integrate UI components.
• Actively own components and features and define their long-term trajectory.
• Brainstorm with the team to conceptualise and build new features.

What you should have

• You’ve been building web applications professionally for 3+ years.
• You can lead technical architecture discussions and help push technical decisions with your team.
• You write understandable, testable components striving towards maintainability.
• You are a strong communicator. You can explain complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers.
• An eye for detail.

Technical requirements

• React.js experience.
• TypeScript experience.
• Extensive CSS expertise.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling.
• Experience with web3 is not necessary, but a great plus.
