About the role:

We’re hiring a crypto-native backend engineer with proven experience building performant backends & infra for high-growth products that have achieved massive scale.

As our lead backend engineer, you will work directly alongside the CTO to help ensure that our infrastructure & backend is being built to support demanding requirements for performance, security, and scalability.

Because we are an AI company building onchain products, the ideal candidate has a strong general interest in DeFi, and uses LLMs such as GPT, Cursor, Co-pilot, or similar in their daily engineering work flow.

Requirements:

• 4+ years using Golang
• Crypto-native with prior experience building products in web3
• Experience working with AWS cloud services (e.g., SQS, SNS, RDS, Aurora, Cloud Functions, Lambda)
• Experience with microservices architectures and event-driven systems
• Experience in infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with software engineering principles covering automation, testing, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud technologies
• Familiarity with monitoring and analytics tools like Grafana
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, resilient large-scale production applications in distributed environments

Responsibilities:

• Write well-documented APIs for cross-functional teams to consume
• Contribute to in-depth architectural decisions
• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based systems
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform in AWS environments
• Maintain a high-quality production environment using AWS services

Not required, but a strong bonus:

• Prior commercial experience as a smart contract dev or security auditor
• Strong Python skills
