About this position

We are looking for a talented Engineer who is enthusiastic about new projects and would like to help shape a creative work environment in which people can contribute and realize themselves beyond traditional corporate structures. We are a young team, that has just completed their pre-seed financing round and we are looking to add talent that is eager to participate in building our company and product. This is your opportunity to be an early hire and have a massive impact in a small team that values natural curiosity, ideas and input.

Developer Responsibilities:

• You will be in charge of architecting, coding and maintaining back-end services for various business processes
• You will work closely with front-end developers to integrate elements
• Working with stakeholders to design the application’s architecture so it can be easily maintained over time as new features get added, or existing ones need updating
• The database is a critical component of our application. It stores the information that makes up all or part of any given webpage, so it’s imperative to make sure they’re fast and reliable!
• Maintain and enhance the existing server-side network components by developing new ones where necessary
• Document Node.js processes, including database schemas
• Recommend and implement improvements to processes and technologies
• Diagnose and fix bugs
• Regularly monitor and improve app performance
• Participate in the development of requirements and documentation
• Maintain code and write tests (if needed) to ensure a quality product

Requirements:

• Delivery and problem-solving oriented mindset
• Attention to details
• Deep understanding of Node.js and its core principles
• You are able to deliver complex projects in a timely manner
• Proven background in using Node.js on various projects
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
• You have production experience with AWS and GCP
• Your code is clean, technical debt minimal and documentation is clear and easy-to-understand
