Return Protocol is ready to welcome a Design Lead who will lead the design of our suite of products; including decentralized applications, all on-chain assets and leaderboards. You will have the opportunity to drive the mass adoption of environmental offsetting by building an awesome user experience. This role will play an integral part in building Return, alongside shaping capabilities now and in the future.

Introduction

We are Return Protocol. We are on a mission to accelerate the mass adoption of regenerative finance to solve the climate crisis. This first chapter of the Return journey starts with blockchains, as we strive to leverage the awesome tools web3 provides to make anybody’s life sustainable with a single click and payment, incentivised through social tools.

We’re an early stage startup that has recently closed a Pre-Seed round of $2.5m from some amazing partners and are growing at an incredible rate.

🔎 The Role

• Partner closely with the engineering and executive teams to design, test and launch products that help consumers to offset their emissions with tokenized offsets, incentivised through social proof and an awesome customer experience.
• Lead the design of the overall Return application, blockchain based Climate Passport and future products with the overall goal of achieving climate action powered by the masses.
• Apply big-picture thinking to create a truly shareable and impact focused product that can break the longstanding glass-ceiling faced by environmental tools in the past.
• Rapidly produce multiple concepts and high-fidelity prototypes, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to change paths and try another approach.
• Help to build and shape the culture of our design and growth teams from the beginning to strive for a user-centric approach as we change sustainability for good.

👦🏽 Your Background

• Above all else, you have your finger on the pulse of how to cultivate truly awesome user experiences and the expertise, alongside your portfolio to back it up.
• 3+ years of experience in designing successful consumer focused technology.
• You are an incredible designer, with the ability to think big as well as the passion and persistence to polish the details.
• You are motivated to accelerate the adoption of sustainable finance.
• You have the communication skills to help set up frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts. Also instrumental is the ability to speak confidently about your own design work and convince others of your reasoning.

There’s a lot of work to do and huge growth potential as the company scales. As such, please expect possible longer working hours and working weekends where necessary, this role comes with hustle!
