What We Do

Chainflip is a decentralised exchange protocol specialising in cross-chain interactions. We think it has the best shot at taking market share away from the big centralised exchanges in the long run and bringing it on-chain. We want to be the Uniswap for everything. This is a very tightly coupled engineering challenge, one that we’ve been working on for well over a year. It is a multidisciplinary exercise in distributed systems, decentralised finance, blockchain consensus mechanisms, cyber security, applied cryptography, and front end tooling. What’s the Job?

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer that is able to help with various challenges that pop up during the exciting launch phase of our company.

Tasks include:

• Develop illustrations of concepts, graphics, and layouts for all front-facing collateral such as blogs, tweets, community events, and more
• Work closely with the product team on design artefacts (illustrations, animations, icons) for our various products
• Create educational content from voice over scripts, both longer and shorter formats using After Effects
• Support marketing requests for our social media channels, articles, understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience, especially when it comes to creating social media posts
• Acting upon critique and design feedback
• Help maintain & improve the brand visual identity

Who You’d Work With

You will work under the Head of Communications with the mentorship of our Lead Designer. On top of that our CEO is always involved in bigger communication and design questions. Additionally, you’d be working with the Head of Business Development and potentially some of our Web Engineers on a semi-regular basis. At the moment we have a workforce of 17 (a number that will definitely grow over the course of the next 6-12 months) in our Berlin office, so these are the people you’d be seeing regularly.

Who Should Apply?

Ideally you:

• Have experience in Illustrator and Photoshop (After Effects, Figma or Framer is a huge plus, but not a requirement)
• A portfolio demonstrating skills and projects involving Motion Graphic Design, Graphic Design & Illustration across brand, marketing and product use cases
• Have a clean and refined design aesthetic and pay close attention to detail.
• Are up to speed with the latest design trends & practices
• Have a keen eye for detail in typography, layout, colour
• Have great communication skills
• Want to work in and shape a world-class team in the Web3 industry
• Are organised, open, process-oriented and a team player with excellent English skills
• Are up to date with the cryptocurrency industry as well as the general market (not essential as long as you have a desire to learn)
• Most importantly: love and care for your craft

We work out of our bright and relaxed Kreuzberg offices 4 of 5 days a week, with partial remote options possible, and an annual offsite planned each February. If you would like to read more to get an idea of what working at chainflip would be like, check out this post.

Salaries and Token packages are on offer that are commensurate with skill and experience. Please indicate your expected salary when applying, and we will take that into consideration during the interview process.

Salary range is €38k - €52k, plus equity/tokens
